Things to Do
When you're done with relaxing at the Lodge, check out all of the great things to do nearby!
WATKINS GLEN & CORNING
Take a 10-15 minute drive to the East and visit downtown Watkins Glen. Hike the famous waterfalls, or do some antique shopping on Franklin Street. Grab a vegan latte and pastry from Glen Mountain Market for breakfast, or a seitan sandwich for lunch! Cap the night off with a fresh beer from Rooster Fish while you sample the vegan options at the Wildflower Cafe.
If you're up for a 25 minute drive South, head to Market Street in Corning where you can continue collecting antiques, sample even more fresh local beer at the Iron Flamingo or Market Street Brwery, or grab some amazing tapas at the Cellar. For a quick fresh salad, check out Tossed, then head to the Corning Museum for an education in glass-making!
WATKINS GLEN INTERNATIONAL
The raceway is a short 3 miles from the lodge, so if you plan to visit on a race weekend, you'll be right in the middle of the action!
THE FARM SANCTUARY
Just eight miles through the hills of the State Forests, you'll find The Farm Sanctuary, the country's first haven for farm animals established by Gene Baur in 1986. You do not want to miss this while you're here, the chance to connect with hundreds of rescued farm animals living out their natural lives in peace.
WINE & BEER TASTING
The Finger Lakes Region of New York is an up-and-coming area for wine and beer production. The head of the Seneca Lake Wine Trail sits right in downtown Watkins Glen, and takes you on a beautiful drive around the lake. Be sure to grab our list of Vegan-friendly wineries and breweries, and make a day of it! Just be sure to have a designated driver, or add on our Wine Tour package at booking!
